The Common
The National Trust own land around the town of Minchinhampton and the surrounding villages of Amberley, Box, Brimscombe and Rodborough. The land is rich in a variety of plants - especially orchids. The Great Park - the area nearest to the school also has Oak and Beech trees scattered across it.
May 13th is known as Marking Day when local 'Commoners' exercise the right to have their cattle marked and released to roam freely across the Commons for the summer months.
