Minchinhampton School Nursery

Minchinhampton Nursery is situated in a purpose built unit for pre-school children, which is part of Minchinhampton School.  The Nursery is an integral part of the school and one of the benefits of this is preparing children for entry

into the reception class

Children are able to join the Nursery in the September following their 3rd birthday.

Times of opening are 8.50 am – 11.50 am Monday – Friday plus Monday, Tuesday

and Wednesday afternoons 12.50 – 3.20 pm.

There is the opportunity for children to stay for lunch on the days the Nursery is open all day, for an additional charge.

Staff in the Nursery have qualifications in early years education, child protection and first aid.  They are committed to providing a high quality of provision with an aim to create a rich, stimulating, happy and welcoming environment

where all children feel secure and valued as individuals.

The Nursery follows government guidelines in the form of the “Early Years Foundation Stage” and offers a careful balance between child initiated and adult directed activities.

Our aim is to foster the all-round development of each individual child and to provide them with a sound foundation to starting school.

If you would like more details about the Nursery or would like to register a place for your child, please contact the school office (01453883273).  The office can arrange for you and your child to come and visit the Nursery and meet our Nursery staff.  Places are very popular, and to avoid disappointment, it is suggested that you make contact with the Nursery in plenty of time.

 March 2009  - School Newsletter

"The nursery had its Annual Review by the Early Years Team of the Local Authority yesterday, 6th March . The report placed the Nursery in the outstanding category and is to be used as an example of good practice for other early years settings.  Well done Mrs. Neale, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Errington, and the children.  We are very proud of you."
