Minchinhampton School Nursery
Times of opening are 8.50 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. Monday to Friday plus Monday and Tuesday after- noons 12.50 to 3.20 p.m.
There are 16 places available for children who have their 4th birthday during the year (September Ist 2006 -August 31st 2007). Parents may choose the number of mornings that they would like their child to attend. This could be one to eight sessions each week -for the sake of continuity, we suggest a minimum of two sessions is appropriate for children in their pre-school year.
Our aim is to prepare children for their Reception year by giving them an excellent foundation on which to build when they start full-time education as well as giving them a chance to sample daily life at the school. Cost per morning session is £10.00. Lunchtime care on Mondays and Tuesdays is charged @ £5.00.
Government grants are now available to cover the cost of Nursery fees. Please contact the Nursery or School to check your eligibility for a grant.
The Nursery Teacher is Dot Neale, who has many years experience of early-years teaching..
The Nursery has already proved to be very popular and we are keen that every family in Minchinhampton with pre-school children should be aware that the Nursery is there for them.
The Nursery provides pre-school education and care as set out in the Foundation Stage and Early Learning Goals, the Government's guidelines for the 3-5 year old. The Minchinhampton School Nursery Unit is providing an excellent quality of pre-school education, and has provided the children in our care with a sound foundation to starting school.
If you would like more details about the Nursery or would like to register a place for your child, please contact the school office on the number above. The office can arrange for you and your child to come and visit the Nursery and meet our Nursery staff. Places are very popular, and to avoid disappointment, it is suggested that you make contact with the Nursery in plenty of time.
