The Children’s Valentine’s Disco is this evening, Reception and KS1 children 5.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m., KS2 children 7.00 p.m. to 8.15p.m. £1 admission, refreshments available.  Please meet your child at the hall door promptly at the end of the disco.  For obvious safety reasons, no children will be allowed out of the hall until we see their parent.

 

 

PTA Meeting : The next PTA meeting is on Wednesday 27th February at 8.00 p.m. in Mrs. Smith’s classroom (please use the door from the middle playground) Everyone welcome.

 

 

Y2 Recorder Club/ Hot lunches: Starting after half term, recorder club will be at 1.00 p.m. on Thursdays so that children can have their hot lunch first.

 

 

Football club : Thank you to Mr. Englefield and Mr. Hurt for offering to run the football club during my absence after half term. 

 

 

Science Week : week beginning June 2ndWe are having a Science Week during the first week after the summer half term.  As we do with the Creative Arts Week, if any parents have any skills, expertise or interest in the sciences (from astronomy to steam trains!!) please let Mrs. Broadhurst or Miss Piper know, as we will be very grateful for any help during this week.

 

 

Dates for your diary :

 

Reception children’s parents’ consultation evenings are on March 11th and March 13th.  The appointment lists will be on the hall doors on Monday March 3rd.

 

PTA Easter Egg Hunt is on Sunday March 16th.

 

More details nearer the date.

 

 

Half term is next week, as you know. School reopens on Monday 25th at 8.45 a.m.  The school will be in the very capable hands of Mrs. Broadhurst and the Senior Leadership Team during my absence, and I will see you all as soon as the old grey matter is ready for a return to school! Thank you so much to everybody who has written, sent cards or given me their best wishes.  I am very, very grateful for all your kind words,  thoughts and prayers
