2008 Easter - Holy Week

The children were engaged in a week of activities leading up to the Easter Weekend. Every day, assembly was led by members of our local churches, telling the story of Easter.

Monday-Palm Sunday

Tuesday-The Last Supper

Wednesday-The Garden of Gethsemane

Thursday - Easter Service 2pm - Reflections on Holy Week

It was a wonderful opportunity to visit the church on Thursday(Maundy Thursday) and again, on Tuesday. The children were able to remark on the differences between their visits. The church was stripped bare before Easter and full of flowers and colour when we returned on Tuesday for assembly. Hopefully, this enabled a more meaningful experience that they were able to understand and that they could begin to appreciate why we all have Easter Eggs.
