DT Paper Pots and Planting

Everyone in Year 5 and 6 made a pot by covering a flowerpot in layers papier mache made from newspaper. We decorated the final layer of our papier mache pots with a design using coloured paper squares. The pots were allowed to dry thoroughly before we varnished them. Meanwhile we planted a crocus bulb in our flowerpots.

At the end of term we wrapped the flowerpot and its papier mache pot cover in cellophane, attached a gift tag (made from old christmas cards) and took the present home.
